The Berkshire Fermentation Festival is day long celebration of the diversity of all things fermented and crafted. Each year there is an array of local cultured food vendors sampling and selling their products along with demos, lectures, a culture swap, science corner, book signings, raffle, live music, and more.
ALL DAY science corner with Benjamin Wolfe, a microbiologist at Tufts University! Come take a closer look at the microbiology of fermented vegetables, from farm to ferment.
We're *so* excited to announce that Sandor Katz will be joining us this year at the 4th Annual Berkshire Fermentation Festival for 3pm Q&A with Fermentation Revivalist Sandor Katz:
Troubleshoot your failed experiments; let Sandor assuage your biggest worries; bring your questions big and small. Ask about anything fermentation-related!
Culture swap--
Bring labeled samples of your cultures to trade and share at our culture swap table!
ie kombucha scobys, kefir grains, sourdough starter, etc.
For the Kids--
Jenny Schwartz of Food Adventures will be making vegetable ferments!
More details coming soon!
